Strings of Life (S.O.L.) is the latest offering from BPM and the Botanical Group and opened just in time for the LA Summer of 2020. S.O.L. is an all-day café with 50 seats serving premium house roasted coffee and chef driven cuisine that hails inspiration from our Australian heritage.
The S.O.L. name and brand takes on connotations of the endless Californian sunshine, but also references Strings Of Life (S.O.L.), the classic release by Detroit producer Derrick May and continues the subtle musical under-tones that are apparent in all of Botanical Hospitality’s venues in the USA.
S.O.L.’s menu was created by Botanical Group Culinary Director Monty Koludrovic. It combines trademark Australian café flavors with Californian produce- resulting in a healthy, tasty & interesting menu utilizing the abundance of local farmers markets produce and relationships with growers & suppliers we have formed during our last 5 years in Los Angeles.
S.O.L. is designed by award winning Australian interior architects Projects Of Imagination in collaboration with Lanser & Hall. S.O.L. will be an important and iconic destination for Melrose Ave and the Design District's rapidly evolving food & beverage scene. S.O.L. DTLA is set for a Q1 debut in 2021.
